Work with me
I do not currently have funding for graduate students or postdocs; however, there are a number of funding opportunities at the University of Iceland. If you are interested in computational thermodynamics, statistical analysis, or their combination with observational petrology and geochemistry then please get in touch.
Masters Students
I offer research projects as part of the MS programme in Earth Sciences at the University of Iceland. See the University of Iceland website for more information.
PhD Students
The University of Iceland offers several PhD scholarships each year. The application requires formulating a research proposal (in consultation with the potential supervisor), work on which should be begin months in advance of the deadline. The application deadline is normally in mid-February. Please contact me as soon as possible if you are interested in applying.
Postdocs
In addition to various international funds, there are two Iceland-based funds for postdoctoral research.
The first is the University of Iceland Postdoc fund for which the deadline varies year to year (last year it was in mid-May).
The second is the Postdoctoral Fellowship grant run by the national funding agency Rannís. The deadline is usually in mid-June.
If you are interested in working with me as a postdoc, please reach out and we can discuss funding options.
